Ride for the 96 was an annual charity cyclo-sportive bike ride in memory of the 97 Liverpool FC fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough stadium disaster on 15th April 1989.
The ride took place on the outskirts of Liverpool and was organised in conjunction with British Cycling.
The ride was open to anyone to enter, and 100% of entrance fees and sponsorship monies went to charity.
For the 2017 ride, funds were split evenly between Alder Hey Childrens charity and Jamie Carraghers 23 Foundation and allocated to youth projects and charitable causes on Merseyside.
10 lucky riders were selected at random to receive some extremely valuable memorabilia courtesy of Jamie Carraghers 23 Foundation.
